1901

Europe. Spring. 1901.

The War Room does not take long to fill and lead to furious negotiations. The scent of blood is in the air and the sharks of leadership are blood thirsty.

Are alliances and pacts already being created, and broken? Can peace be kept?

SPRING 1901

Winter is over, and the spring brings war. Imperial Russia and Germany invade Austria-Hungary's borders. Italy and France make relatively non-menacing moves. England seems to be employing a northern strategy. And with the Sultan killed, Turkey is in civil disorder!

As soon as Spring was over, summer negotiations went into a frenzied state. What would the others do? What can be done?

Austria-Hungary seems to be negotiating a peace along their western border with Italy. England, while present, doesn't seem to care.

Clearly England is choosing to be buddy-buddy with the president of France - Is that a French flag they are wrapped in?

The powers gather in the hall on the small map. No one wants to be left out of negotiations.

FALL 1901

WAR! France and Germany both execute aggressive expansion policies, with conquering the neutral territories of Spain, Portugal and Belgium. Germany takes Sweden, Denmark and invades Austria-Hungary, who survives by annexing Serbia. Italy enters the African continent by taking Tunis. England invades Scandinavia landing troops in Norway. Russia Southern campaign shows the Czar interested in being a Southern naval power.

Can peace be still achieved? It seems unlikely. The thirst for blood is too entoxicating, and the powers of Europe are known for their dreams of success.

Have mercy on the souls of Europe. This is war.
