1907

They are on opposite sides of the map, but Scotland and Turkey still have a dialogue.

Can Russia come to terms with France? This deep into the war can their be peace?

France in the East, Turkey in the West. Austria-Hungary trapped in the middle.

Russia studies the map. Scotland looks on.

Private negotiations turn into a mob. No one looks happy with so much blood and death.

France takes one last look with Scotland over the future of Scandinavia. What will Russia and Germany do next?

SPRING 1907 MAP

Russia makes a bold move into the Norwegian sea to displace France, but loses Sweden in the process to Scotland. On other fronts Russia moves back into Romania, and moves into German occupied Vienna and Silesia. Germany moves were outflanked by France on all scrimmage lines - perhaps this is due to the illness of the Kaiser, who communicated his troop movements through Turkey and Russia (the Axis powers). Complicated maneuvers in Italy keep Austria-Hungary alive for another season. Italy finally takes the Aegean. Turkey strikes out into Trieste.

SUMMER NEGOTIATIONS

Turkey demonstrates some sort of claw-like maneuver to the Kaiser over the radio.

Russia seems pleased with the Spring. What does the Tsar think the fall will bring?

Apparently he might be a bit stressed about the fall.

The Queen of Scotland seems to have taken her new alliance with France well as England once again lands forces in Europe. Italy too seems to enjoy the Alliance.

Russia does not seem to care too much for the Alliance.

France writes their orders in private. There is much to consider and plan.

Turkey and France continue to talk - but Turkey doesn't seem to agree with the talks. Perhaps that's due to his struggle against France's ally Italy.

Russia talks to Germany over the radio to discuss orders and strategy.

Once uneasy foes, Austria-Hungary and Italy now work together against the Axis forces.

Arrrrrrrrrrr you ready for Diplomacy?

Neutral observers watch in disbelief at the carnage across Europe.

FALL 1907 MAP

A great line has been established down the middle of Europe like a scar on the cheek of a beautiful maiden. Turkey attempts to crush an Italian navy, but instead loses their colony in Bulgaria. Austria-Hungary holds onto Venice with help from the Alliance. Russia moves farther into former Austria-Hungaria, much closer to German lines. France regains the Nowegian and Russia strikes into Scotland. France helps Scotland take Sweden while taking Denmark themselves, causing both Germany and Russia to lose bases.

The Axis, once thought to be the growing powers, declines with Turkey now at 6, Russia at 6, and Germany at 4. Meanwhile, the Alliance improves, with France now at 10 units, Italy at 4, Scotland at 2, and Austria-Hungary still at 1.

The Kaiser is not happy - as sent over communications from Turkey.

Things have gotten bloody. As the Tsar says "Welcome to 1907."

An Emperor of Austria-Hungary and Italian Queen point out Russian movements against ally Germany who they believe will betray him. To which he responds "But I haven't killed Germany . . . yet."

Ominous tones before 1908 . . .
