1904

Message from Kaiser Lisa:

"I have fallen ill and only have months to live. I will live my last days in the country side with relatives. Since I am not fit to run the country I have signed a regency to my cousin Matt who will lead Germany into prosperity with the best interest of Germany's citizens in mind."

Everything

Early negotiations between the newly appointed Kaiser and Prime Minister of England.

Turkey plotting on the big map. Emperor of Austria-Hungaria is right behind. Does the Sultan know this?

The new Kaiser and the President of France.  What are they proposing?

England and Russia laugh - why? Do they laugh at others strategy or a timely made political joke?

France and Turkey seem to be on good terms. They are also on opposite sides of the continent.

France is slowly quickly surrounding England.  Swift punishment for helping the old Kaiser attack French troops.

The new Kaiser wastes no time negotiating with the leaders of Europe from East to West ...

 ... and in between.

A quiet reflection moments before the nations commit to war.

SPRING 1904 MAP

France pushes forth in their invasion of Great Britain. Italy maintains her control of the southern seas and returns a navy to home. Turkey pushes farther into the Balkans while Russia prevents Austrian-Hungarian invasion. But AH loses Vienna from a secret German invasion.

SUMMER 1904 NEGOTIATIONS

England and Germany talk about the East apparently. Interesting . . .

Negotiation space is tight, as Russia and Turkey take to the small map.

The Emperors of Austria and Hungary are together again to strategize, with France watching.

Germany returns to talk to the central power. After invasion of Vienna, can they work out a peace?

England and Russia meantime talk on the big map, while France negotiates on the small.

The Italian Queen makes a last minute appearance, and everyone wants to talk to her.

Other foreign dignataries come to take in the spectacle that is negotiations during war. Will their nations step in or are they really only here to observe?

The time is ticking down - orders are due at clock strike - tensions are high, alliances on edge, and foes stare each other down.

This is diplomacy!

FALL 1904 MAP

English forces scream home to struggle against France's death grip. Will the sun set on the British Empire? Russia expands in Scandinavia and holds off Austria-Hungary again, who suffers losses from Germany, Turkey, and Italy.

The fighting was intense, the negotiations fast and furious. 4 years has shown us skirmishes and struggles, and one all out declaration of war. Very little is clear, but what we do know is that this Winter will be long, and cold, and all forces will take the time to rest, regroup, and prepare for a new day of war.
